Liposuction

Why Online Research Is No Match for a Lipo Consult

Lipo Consult

If you’re considering liposuction, online research can be valuable. However, it does not take the place of an in-person liposuction consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Here’s why you should never substitute information on the internet for the knowledge and experience of a plastic surgeon.

For Best Results, You Must Consult

You can look at pictures and read articles about liposuction online, and this can help get you started in your research process. But there’s no way to know exactly which procedure or combination of procedures will work for you without having a real-life surgical consultation. Liposuction is a highly customizable procedure, so it’s important to develop a plan that is tailored to your body and your goals. You may not even be a good candidate for liposuction, and you’re not going to find out whether you are on the internet.

Without seeing a plastic surgeon in person, it is impossible to determine whether liposuction is right for you.

A Real-Life Opportunity to Swipe Left

Your liposuction consultation is also your chance to find the right plastic surgeon. This is an opportunity to observe their practice and the people who work there. Is it clean and organized? How do they interact with their patients? Do you feel comfortable? Ask questions about the plastic surgeon’s experience and credentials, and make sure to look at before and after photos of past liposuction patients. Ask if procedures are done in an accredited surgical facility and what kind of follow-up care they will provide.
