Tired of stubborn dark circles? Do people constantly tell you how tired and unhealthy your eyes look? Don’t worry, it’s no major problem. The skin around your eyes is pretty sensitive and delicate, which means after a long and tiring day at work, the eyes tend to look tired. In order to calm and relax your eyes, there are some DIY homemade eye mask options available.

Here’s a list of a few easy to prepare DIY homemade eye masks that are safe for the eyes and are made from natural products only.

  1. Tomatoes Eye Mask

    In order to prepare this particular mask, you will need pulp of two fresh tomatoes along with one teaspoon of cucumber juice.

    Close your eyes and cover it with a wet cloth. Then, apply a thick tomato paste on the cloth. Keep the eyes closed for about 10 minutes or so. Slowly remove the cloth and the paste from around the eyes using a cotton swab.

    Tomatoes help in soothing the eyes and the cucumber juice helps in giving a cooling effect.

  2. Potato Eye Mask

    This one is incredibly popular for reducing dark circles and eye puffiness. For this particular mask, you will need two potatoes that are chilled. Extract juice from these potatoes. Dip a clean cotton swab in the juice and apply it on your eyes.

    Allow the mask to remain on your eyes for about 10 minutes. Repeat the process regularly to see noticeable results. Rest assured, the potatoes eye mask won’t cause any eye irritation.

  3. Milk and Baking Soda Eye Mask

    Milk is a boon for tired and exhausted eyes. For this eye mask, you need 4 tablespoons of fresh whole milk, and 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Mix them well and make a smooth mixture out of it. Then, place the mixture inside the refrigerator for some time.

    Take the mixture out and apply it around your eyes. Allow the mixture to sit on your eyes for about 25 minutes. Then after, wash your eyes with cold water. See the difference almost instantaneously.

  4. Cucumber Eye Mask

    You cannot go wrong with a cucumber eye mask. Cucumbers are known to provide cooling effects on the eyes. They indeed are natural eye smoothers. Take a small sized cucumber and grate it. Allow the grated cucumber to chill inside the refrigerator for some time. Then, spread the grated cucumber around the eyes using your fingertips. Allow it to stay there for 30 minutes or so before you rinse it off with cold water.

  5. Rose Water Eye Mask

    One of the simplest ways to soothe tired eyes is by applying rose water around the eyes. Take some rose water and dip a cotton swab in it. Allow the cotton swab to sit on eyes for about 20 minutes or so. Soon after, you will feel a calming effect on both of your eyes.
