In an effort to maximize the benefits that were possible with laser resurfacing while minimizing the drawbacks, non-ablative laser resurfacing was developed. A gentler approach to laser skin rejuvenation, non-ablative fractional laser treatments only target the damaged areas of the skin, leaving patches of untouched healthy cells between those areas. This promotes faster healing overall, along with very little downtime.
